This book has many patterns which use a variety of patterns and styles, with the easy to read and follow step by step instructions making the beginner feel at ease.
There is a brief history of the Celts and their various designs, materials and equipment used, with the rest of the content covering the layout of the various patterns from the simple spiral on through multiple Spirals, Pelta designs, Motif’s, Frets, Mazes, Zoomorphics design and the use of colour. With the last chapter covering the use of Celtic designs within other crafts.
Overall I found this book easy to follow with the step by step diagrams helping when I got stuck understanding the written instructions. Since this book is a good reference resource I will be adding it to my own limited library.
